We have been sooo busy preparing Family Camp and working on IYC stuff. We decided earlier in the week that we would do something fun with the kids on Saturday. Dustin worked until noon, then we headed out. We ran through drive thru at KFC and headed to Garden of the Gods for a picnic lunch and then do some rock climbing. My kids favorite thing. They were sooo excited. It was a beautiful day around 88 degrees. And a nice breeze as well. We ate then found our way into the rocks. We were out there for a couple hours and had a really great time. I have added a bunch of pictures. You will need to click on them to enlarge them to truly appreciate them. Isaac lost his very 1st tooth tonight. He and Aleah were upstairs playing and here comes Isaac downstairs, "Mom, Mom, my tooth!" He said Aleah punched him and it fell out. How funny is that to have your tooth knocked out by your little sis. He then said but it was an accident mom. He is very happy to have it out. He has another one that is pretty loose and he told Aleah when the other one is ready she can knock it out too. Crazy kid. That will bring her much joy I can tell you now.

I have been wanting to get some sponge rollers and try them out on Aleah. Well, while I was in Oklahoma I found some at the dollar store for 80cents. Well, when we got home I tried them out. They were the smalls. I think I need the large. I thought you all would enjoy these although she will probably kill me when she gets older for posting these. After some work it actually turned out really cute!

Aleah is feeling great and we had went the whole weekend basically with no sickness until last night that is. Isaac woke us up last night around 1:30 am throwing up. And has been doing so all night. He has finally slowed down a little and is resting. So it was yet another long night. And Lillie threw up last night as well but Im not sure hers isnt her teeth. She is cutting her top teeth. So please say a prayer for them and that I wont get it. It is hard to take care of little ones when you yourself are sick. ALso this weekend is District Convention and then we start revival Monday night. I really want us all to be well.
Had a great weekend. Friday night was Keven and Michele's 16th Anniversary so Cathy and I volunteered to keep their 4 kids over night so they could go out for the night. Keven had made reservations at a hotel here in Springs and made dinner reservations at a nice restaurant. So they dropped their kids off at 2:30 on Friday and left for their big date. All of this was a surprise to Michele. Then Cathy and Daniel came up when he got off work. We grilled brats & hot dogs and just hung out. It was alot of fun and the kids enjoyed playing together. Then on Saturday we just hung out too. Keven & Michele came and got their kids and went home because they had plans for that night already, but Daniel & Cathy stayed and we made chinese food and they guys hung out and Cathy and I watched "One Night With The King." It was a good movie. It is about the story of Esther. They ended up staying the night again and left that morning when we left for church so they could go to their church. We had alot of fun. Oh we also managed to get a few games of Sequence in too! Church on Sunday was really good. Dustin's message was really good too. We came home ate lunch, took nap, went to buy groceries and then came home and grilled steaks. YUM! THat pretty much sums up the weekend.

Dustin is feeling right on the edge of 100%. Although last night we went to bed and all was well. At 3am I was awakened to Aleah's shrill scream. I went in her room and she was crying and said I spit up. Sure enough she and her bedding were covered. It was disgusting. So I picked her up and had to give her a bath. While I was bathing her Dustin had gotten up and was cleaning up the mess and getting the bedding put in the washer. I could hear him in the bedroom gagging, I laugh just thinking about it, it was a constant gagging. I even was gagging when I went in there. He is such a great guy to help out. Anyways we got her all cleaned up and laundry going and moved her into our room in the floor so her room could air out with the window open. After that she woke up throwing up every 30 min. to an hour. And she is still throwing up so please please pray for her. She has no other symptoms except throwing up. Thanks for the prayers!

I wanted to let everyone know that Dustin is much better and thank everyone for the prayers. He still has a little congestion but is much better. Please remember the Wantulok family they are still sick and now their little one Jacob is throwing up. It is hard on kids to be sick but really hard for babies. Thanks again for the prayers.

Dustin woke up on Monday sick. He was feeling like throwing up and very weak. He slept all day. Well today he got up and went to work but he came home a little before 3. He said he was so weak and that his chest felt really heavy for alot of the day. He has been asleep since he got home. He has a fever also. Please remember him in prayer. has happened that is. I have needed to blof for a while now but something keeps coming up and it gets out off further and further and then there's sooo much that you dont even know where to start. Sherrie and Mike came out over Easter weekend. We had such a great time. We took them to the Zoo and then to Palmer Park for some rock climbing. It was alot of fun except that all of us older ones are way out of shape to be doing all that climbing.LOL! The next day we all went to Denver to the Aquarium, that was neat, but too expensive for how short it is. Then we headed over to the Bass Pro Shop and looked around for a while. Then headed back to Springs. That night we dyed eggs with the kids. It was fun for the first 2 or 3 eggs then they were bored and ready to just go play so Dustin did most of the egg coloring. I dont think he minded that much. hehe! Then off to bed with the kiddos and I made up their Easter baskets. I look sooo forward to making them Easter baskets. It is something my parents did for my sister and I until we got married and I always loved it. We got up on Easter Sunday and was getting ready for church and it was snowing quiet a bit. Sherrie and Mike were going to go to church with us and then after we did the egg hunt they were going to head out,but the weather was getting worse and was suppose to get pretty bad so they headed out early.Dustin debated back and forth for a long time and then after talking to the members decided to cancel church(which is just WRONG on Easter) because the weather was suppose to be terrible within a hour or so. And we have alot of elderly people so we didnt want them to fall or anything.We already had the kids in their Easter clothes so we had did the lesson I had prepared for childrens church and sang some songs and had prayer and then we hid the eggs in the house to let the kids find them. It didnt end up getting as bad as they predicted of course, and it was all cleared up by 1pm. That was sooo agravating. Anyways I have some pics of that weekend that I will post below. After Sherrie and Mike headed home on Sunday that following Thursday was my VLB service. On Monday I began studying and never got anything. Then on Wednesday I got a migraine and still no service. I had the migraine for three days. I did get enough relief (PTL!) that I was able to get my service done on Being An Effective Witness. Then I cleaned and bought groceries over the weekend because our revival started on Monday night with Br. Sam Kaufman for our Youth Emphasis Week. It was a great revival and I sooo enjoyed having them here in our home. We had a great time with them. They are truly great people. The kids loved having them here as well. I think there were 55 different people there throughout the week. It was great! The revival lasted thru Thursday night and then we all headed to Hatch, NM for our Regional Youth Convention. It was also very good. God truly blessed and moved in our hearts. Br. Colin Shuler was the guest speaker and he did a wonderful job. There were many other great messages as well. And of course the food that they Hatch ladies prepared was oh so delicious!! They are the sweetest most giving people. We also were blessed to get to eat at the Banuelos' restuarant a couple meals YUM! Then we headed home on Sunday and now today Dustin woke up sick. Its been glumy today and kind of boring with him sick. He is just sleeping which is what you normally do when your sick. He works everyday and is not here, but I guess when he is here and you can see him laying there it makes it worse because you want to talk to him. Anyways~

I havent done school with Isaac all last week so there is alot of catching up to do. And Lillie now has 5 teeth. She got 3 this weekend totalling the 5. Well I'll go for now and give you some pic of Easter weekend and maybe others.

Its been so long since I blogged I may not have any readers any longer. Things are about the same as usual. Isaac is doing really well in school and catches on to stuff really quickly. Aleah now knows all her colors and some of her numbers and alphabet. SHe also has been potty trained now for a few weeks. Yeeeaaahhh!!! I am sooo excited about that. Tow down and one more to go. We also have a new family attending our church. THe Moore family moved here from West Virginia. THey attended one of our churches out there but her husband is in the military and they were stationed here. They have a 10 yr old daughter and she is really sweet. We are very excited to have them here. I may not be blogging for a few days of course everyone is used to that, Dustin's mom and her husband will be here Thursday evening and staying all weekend with us. We have a full weekend planned so there should be lots of pics and stuff to blog about later.

Here is Isaac and Aleah out helping shovel/playing in the snow the other day. They were having a blast. Dustin was shoveling the snow and then throwing it on them. It is sooooo hard to get any pics of these two anymore. They run when the camera comes out.

Here's Miss Lillie's new accomplishments: Two teeth and sitting up alone. She has actually had the two teeth for a week or so as well as setting up. I just now am getting around to blogging it. If you enlarge the pics you can see the tow teeth.She weighs around 16lbs. Soon that wont be something to talk about. LOL!

Lillie has been really cranky the past few days and now I know why. I was feeling around in her mouth and she has her 1st tooth. It is on the bottom front. It has broke thru the gums and you can feel it and see it. Just thought I would share that. She is 5 1/2 mths. She is teething alot sooner than either of the other two.
As soon as it comes in enough to see good I'll take a pic. Gotta go to finish up my VLB service.

Lillie's Dedication

We just had a great visit with pop and gram a week or so ago. They got here on Wednesday around 3pm and were able to stay until Saturday. We had a great visit. The kids were so excited to see them and so were Dus and I. Wednesday night, we went to Red Lobster to eat and it was sooo good! On Thursday, Dustin worked for a little in the morning and then he came home and we took gram and pop to Garden of the Gods. We spent some time there and then it was time to head home for supper and get ready for church. That night was my VLB service and then since pop was able to be there we decided to have him dedicate Lillie. He had dedicated the other two and so we were excited he was able to dedicate her as well. I will post pics below of the dedication. On Friday, we just stayed around the house and visited and played some games. Then they had to leave on Saturday morning. It was a short but great visit. We were thankful they could come.
This past weekend, Cathy and Daniel came up on Friday and we grilled some steaks and chicken. Then we played games until 3am. We got up the next morning and spent the day on the town. It was a lot of fun. We love getting together with them. Well thats all for now! Pics below!

Well I started some school work books with Isaac a week ago yesterday. We did school everyday. He has done really good and is so excited about learning. Below is a couple pics from the very first day. And crazy me decided to start potty training for real this time with Aleah on the same day that I started school with Isaac. She has done great! She has not had any accidents in a few days now. She goes on her own without us. She has really amazed us. It hopefully will only be a short time longer and she will be potty trained completely.She has also been working on her ABC's and colors, and numbers while Isaac is doing school.She knows all her colors except she gets black and grey mixed up occasionally.

Well, its been a long time. I have been so busy and have had so much to blog about but since it has been so long I decided to just give you some pics and just tell you a little bit about what we've been up too! We went back to Oklahoma and Arkansas for Christmas and New years. We had a great trip getting to see everybody. The kids were so excited about seeing everyone. Then there was Mens Retreat which allowed a Girl Party to take place which you have already heard about on Becki's blog, so no need to go into details. Lots of fun, lets just say that! Then this past weekend Cathy and Daniel and their boys came over and stayed and we played games with the Browns. We all had so much fun. On Sunday was our shared service with Pueblo. Br. Keven preached a great message. i really enjoy hearing him preach. Great service! Then afterwards the Wantuloks and Lewis' came over and we ordered pizzas and played more games until around 10pm. The plan was to leave around 8:30 or 9, but you know things never go as planned. Which was great by me because I love having them all over. And now for the past two days I have been cleaning house and mainly working on laundry. I have laundry now done and have to start on my mound of ironing. YUCK! I hate ironing. Anyways! Some info about the kids! Lets see here:
Isaac is growing up sooo fast. I cant believe he is 5! He likes to play with his army guys, play cowboys, and torcher his sister. You know normal boy stuff. His is very smart. He has also been listening and telling me all about different Bible stories he knows that he has learned about. Him and Aleah play church and he preaches sometimes.
Aleah also loves to play church. Her favorite part is singing. That girl does nothing but sing all the time. Which is great because it makes you smile and I guess shows the joy down in her heart. Especially because its always church songs that she is singing. Isaac also likes to sing! She also gets great joy in torchering her brother. That girl is soooo onery. And likes to get in to EVERYTHING!!!
Lillie is getting sooo big! She is a very happy baby and laughes and smiles all the time.She laughs out loud all the time. She started rolling over Jan. 2 while we was still in Oklahoma. She had just turned 3 months old. It suprised me because the other two were around 5 months. She has also started eating cereal. She is a big girl with a big appetite. She reaches out for toys and things too. And I have to tell ya her favorite person is her daddy. He can walk in the room or if she hears his voice she starts searching for him. And just smiles when she finds him. Well I guess thats it for today!

Isaac's Birthday

Here are a few pics from Isaac's birthday. First, we opened presents. He got some clothes, a truck and trailer with horses, money, and a new real cowboy hat. He will be getting lots more things when we go back for Christmas. After opening gifts we got ready and met the Browns' at Mc Donalds (Isaacs' choosing). Then the Browns' and us headed to the Zoo to see the Zoo Christmas lights. It was alot of fun except for the cold. We came home and had cake and ice cream and then off to bed the kiddos went. And that pretty much concludes Isaac's birthday. He chose what he wanted to do and he loved it all. Still cant believe my baby boy is "5". Until next time!

My Thanksgiving Weekend

On Wednesday night we loaded up and went down to pueblo, to Cathy and Daniel's house. We ate dinner to gether and then Cathy and I put on the turkey and goose in the oven to slow cook all night. Then we went to bed at like 1:30ish. We then got back up a little before 9am to start to prepare our Thanksgiving dinner. We began cooking and cooking and cooking. Stephen and Danielle and some of her family came to have dinner with us. We had sooooo much food. It all turned out good though and I was so thankful because it was only the second time I have prepared a Thanksgiving dinner. Then Stephen and Danielle had to leave and Cathy and I began cleaning the kitchen. After cleaning her and I looked through all the sale ads to see what all stuff they were going to have on sale. And I have to admit I was very disappointed . They didnt hardly have anything , at least nothing of interest to me.We all loaded up and went over to Keven and Michele's house to hang out and play games. We stayed with the Lewis' that night and Friday night. I didnt go to the sales but Michele and Cathy did. There was some things they really wanted to get and there wasnt really anything I wanted except a jumpdrive and Michele ended up picking one up for me, what a friend. Friday night after we put all the kids to bed, Keven, michele, dustin,and I played the Wii. We played tennis and bowling. It was needless to say verfy FUN! We went to bed around 2am. CRAZY! We got up on Saturday and hungout until that afternoon and then we got ready to go to the Christmas parade in Pueblo. After the parade, we all went to the church for a VLB get-to gether. We played games and ate. It was alot of fun also. We left there around 10pm and got home at 11pm. I then had 3 loads of laundry to do before bed so that I could pack this morning to go to the Horne's. So I got in bed around 2am last night and up at 8:30am this morning. I had to get all the packing done and I did. Then we were off to church. After church we headed out for the Horne's. Oh, I forgot to mention the unexpected snow storm that came last night. At our house we probably got at least 4 inches. We drove through alot of mainly icy roads all the way through to Raton and then it began clearing up. It did however take us an extra probably 45 minutes to get to Raton. We then stopped and went to the bathroom and all. And then on the road again, just cant wait to get on the road again, Sorry I couldnt help myself! It is now 10pm and we are still driving. We should be there around 12 or 12;30 AM. I guess thats it for tonight.

It's been a pretty fun day. We got up this morning and started getting around because Chris and Haley Thompson and their kids were coming down. I had a christmas errand to run before they got here so I left around 11:?? to go to Family Christian bookstore to get a before Thanksgiving sale item for the kids. I got a DVD for $5. You can't pass up a deal like that. It will be for both kids, we have already bought a couple other Veggie Tales DVD's also on sale to put in their stockings. Then when I returned home, they were here. Chris and Dustin went to work on the brakes on our van and Haley and I sat around talking and then we played Skip-Bo. She said she didnt remember how to play but somehow she blew me away. We had a great time. She is great to hang out with. After the brakes were down Dustin and Chris took the van for a test drive. When they returned they started grilling hamburgers and hot dogs, while Haley and I ran to King Soopers to get chocolate chips to make cookies. I believe it is Emilee's recipe. They were oh so good. After dinner we all four played a game of Skip-Bo and guess who won? You got it, Haley! Stinking girl! After that they started packing up to go home. And now they are gone. I gave all three kiddos bathes for church tomorrow, gave them a snack and now they are in bed. And there is peace and quiet in the Hays house for the moment. I have been dieting all week, I have a tremendous amount of baby weight to loose. But let's just say there was no dieting today. I started out good, having a bagel for breakfast but after dinner all those warm, chocolate stringing cookies were the end of me. Hopefully I can get back on my diet tomorrow. Anyways thats about it for the Hays familys day. I will post some pretty cute and funny pics of the kids. The pic of Isaac is so funny. He came down stairs the other night and said he was a army guy. Dont you love the outsit? Crazt kid! And Aleah is trying to act all cute and innocent. And then there is a couple of Lillie. Ever since Stephen has been here and is in the army, Isaac is all about it even more now than he was before. Well goodnight!

Well our new family has arrived and we have been trying to help them get settled and all. We have spent quiet a bit of time with them and they are great. We have played games a few times and just hung out. Our new family by the way in case you dont know is Stephen Brown, his wife, Danielle, and their two boys, Connor and Jacob. I did clean house yesterday and today and Im sure probably again tomorrow. I did all my laundry but still have the ironing to do. I seem to put that part off. I hate it. This last Saturday Dustin's boss gave him tickets to the Air Force game so him, Isaac, and Stephen all went. That left Danielle, her tow boys, me, and my two girls so we let the kids play and we watched a chick flik. I had borrowed some girlie movies from Sis. Karen since the guys were going to be gone. After the movie we loaded up the kiddos and her and I went to eat chinese food and we just talked and had a great time. When we got home the boys were back early because Isaac and Stephen were cold. The guys were preparing to grill when we got back. Anyways! Isaac is starting to talk to say his s's sooo much better and is growing up so fast. He will be 5 yrs old next month. I have a 5 yr old!!! He is sooo much fun. He is all boy and enjoys dressing as a cowboy always. As for Aleah she is all girl. Her vocabulary for a 2 1/2 yr old blows me away. She says EVERYTHING!!! She has the best facial expressions ever, but I have been told she gets them honest. And last little miss Lillie, she is growing so fast. She is smiling soooo much and even starting to cooo(?) She is now 7 wks old and I just cant believe it. All the kiddos are doing good. Well I guess I better get some things done before bed. Goodnight all!

Heather, Aaron, andAshton came out the week after all my Arkansas family. And at the end of the week Derek and LeAnndra came out too. We had soooo much fun playing cards every night and hanging out. We did lots of fun stuff too of course. Let's see if I can remember some of the stuff we did. We went to the Zoo, garden of the Gods, Itz (which is a pizza and game place) lots of fun, Miramont Caslte, and Musashi's (a japanese steak house) for my birthday. It was sooo good! We had a really good visit and I miss them. Sorry to make this short but I have a little girl letting me know its feeding time. There are pics below of when they were all here. Enjoy!!!

Arkansas Family

The Arkansas family arrived on Sept. 27. This being my parents, sister,brother in law, and my niece and nephew. They came for a week. We did lots of fun stuff and just getting to all be together meant alot. We did have spouts of sickness run thru many so we were unable to do much the first part of the week. But we made up for it in the end. Dus didnt get to do alot of stuff because he had to work because he was behind from being off 3 days the week before to help me. I took them to the mall one day and just looked around. We took them to Garden of the Gods, we went to the ZOO also. Mom, dad, April, and Tommy all went up the Cog Railway to the top of Pikes Peak. They went on seperate days though so that someone was there with me at all times. I want to go up with Dustin and I also didnt think it would such a good idea to go up that soon after the baby. And my niece and nephew both have breathing problems at times and we didnt think it would be such a good idea to take them up there either. Dad and Tommy managed to go golfing one day and I took mom andApril back to the mall. Every night we played games. We had alot of fun. My mom also shampooed my enitre houses carpets and numerous other things for me. Thanks mom!!!

The Birth Story

It all started one cold, dark night in Springs. Ha! Just Kidding!
It all started on Sept. 21, 2008. It was a Sunday. It was the Sunday of our share service with Pueblo. I was MISERABLE! I was having pretty steady and pretty uncomfortable contractions all through service. Constantly having to change positions and sometimes having to get up and move around. The service ended but not the contractions. The Lewis clan headed out after service to a birthday party. The Wantuloks went to eat with us @ Pizza Hut. Bad choice when having contractions. Actually the food was good, but I was in pain and not feeling well. We came back to the house and the Wantuloks came over too. When we got here I called the midwife and she wanted to come over and checkout everything. I hope I'm not adding anything to this birth story but I was tired and sometimes not completely with it. The midwife came and I was in the beginning stages of labor, but nothing real steady. I would have 2 1/2 to 3 hours of contractions and then NOTHING! Dustin and I did lots of walking. I did squats and multiple other things to try to progress labor. I had contractions for 3 days then finally I actually started having steady, very consistent contractions. By this time I was already mentally, emotionally, and physically DONE! I was 12 days overdue, had had off and on contractions for actually about a week or so, and still no baby. Then the midwife came on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2 or 3 times throughout the day checking me. I was staying with pretty good contractions. She then took my blood pressure and it was really high. She was worried because under the Colorado State Law she can't keep me if my blood pressure didnt come down soon. She made mention of transporting me to the hospital if it didnt get better. But that was not really an option for Dustin and I because we knew God would bring it down. We prayed and God moved. As he always does. The midwife earlier in the week had been worried about the baby was going to be over 2 weeks late and bylaw she would have to have me go and take some tests to make sure everything was ok with the baby and if it was then she could still deliver the baby. But the midwife was afraid that they would want to keep me that day and do a C-section on me because the baby was so big. The tests and c-section we didnt feel were really an option either. I knew God would take care of me and the baby. I want to say a HUGE thanks to all those that were praying for us and that called it seemed at just the right time with words andscriptures of encouragement.

Oh yeah back to the story!
On that Tuesday around 6:45pm my contractions were very hard and my midwife had checked me and I was finally at 5cm which is considered active labor. She then called her assistants to come on over and they began preparing for the delivery. I labored for a long time before getting into the labor pool. Dustin was there with me constantly, supporting me and praying for me, reading the Bible and some scriptures (thanks haley) that were given to me throughout the labor. When contractions came he held my hands and encouraged me through them. I know it probably sounds crazy but when I was holding Dustin's hands through the contractions it was alomst like he was taking some of the pain away. He probably was the poor guys hands were probably DEAD from all the squeezing. I
I did finally get into the labor pool, and the water felt great. By this time the contractions were barely 1 to 2 minutes apart. THey felt like there was no time between. Dustin got into the labor pool with me. Thanks Dus! What a guy! I finally was dilated to 10cm and was having contractions less than 1 minute apart. The midwife checked me and said the water bag was the only thing holding the baby in. So she barely pinched the bag and it popped and the babies head came down. The midwife then said anytime you feel like pushing just push. I told her I didnt feel the urge to push and no sooner than I got that out I started pushing and I never stopped pushing until the baby was out.Total start to finish pushing was 2 minutes. The midwife said, "Boy you are one pusher." I told her, "I just wanted the baby out."It is not a comfortable feeling and I wasnt going to stop pushing until the baby was out. I know I said some pretty crazy things when I was in labor. My husband has already shared that with you all. I also hit heads with Dus while in labor and rammed his glasses into his face poor guy. Wait! Poor guy nothing I was the one pushing the kid out.hehe
~Anyways~
At 10:38pm on Sept.23,2008, our new baby girl, Lillie Grace, entered the world weighing a whopping 10lbs 5 1/2 ozs and 22 inches long. WOW what a girl! She was perfectly healthy and there were no complications. God is soooo good and faithful. I do give God the glory, honour, and praise. It was Him that I trusted in and Him that delivered. I would also like to thank my wonderful husband for all his support, encouragement, and love. He is an amazing guy. The Lord truly blessed me with a Godly head for our home. When I felt weak , he was constantly reminding me with scriptures who are strength is and where our strength comes from. I love you, Dus!
I want to say a BIG thanks to the Wantuloks, the Lewis' , and Leanndra for taking care of my kids, house, cooking , and cleaning and most of all for all the prayers for me and the baby. Thanks guys!

It was a totally different experince having a home birth. I truly enjoyed having my baby at home. Making my own decisions, and the comfort and peace that you feel. There were so many things I liked about it but mainly allowing God to have total control and the feeling of placing yourself completely in His hands. I know alot of people were a little worried but why? God is in control of our lives and He is our protector and deliverer. I praise Him! THere was pain, but God was there to strengthen and see me through. And when I would think I couldnt do it anymore, God was there. He never left me nor forsook me, but He was there with me!

And now we have our little Lillie Grace!!!!
